Our Community Habilitation Program provides skill-development to Individuals at all levels. The program is offered in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island Monday through Friday.
Support staff meet with Individuals at their respective homes and accompanies them to and from each activity. Pre-vocational training is provided at a number of volunteer sites to prepare program participants for possible employment, while giving them a strong sense of accomplishment. Bowling, museum trips and other daily outings help foster community inclusion while helping Individuals develop travel training, specific interests and personal goals.
At-home, support staff help Individuals strengthen their daily living skills, such as cooking, grooming and money management. 1:1 supervision is provided at all times (both at home and in the community) to ensure individualized, person-centered care.
