Every year, Garnet Street staff and Individuals work together to cultivate an eye-popping garden, complete with kale, beets, tomatoes, celery, lettuce, bok choy, collard greens, cucumbers, callaloo, eggplants and strawberries. They also grow organic spices, including basil, thyme, oregano, dill, rosemary and sage.
Planting takes place on May 1st, and by the end of June, everything is ready for picking. All items are essential ingredients for nutritious meals, lovingly prepared for our Individuals by Garnet’s evening chef, Ms. Sanni.
Thanks to ILA Individual Jose Colon for his excellent help watering the garden, and to Julius Roett and Garnet’s terrific maintenance staff for giving our garden extra TLC.
We can’t wait to see what we grow next year!
